Alon Goldstein is one of the most original and sensitive pianists of his generation, admired for his musical intelligence, dynamic personality, artistic vision and innovative programming. He has played concertos with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Chicago, San Francisco, St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Toronto and Vancouver symphonies, as well as with the London Philharmonic, Radio France Orchestra, and others throughout South America, Israel and China. He tours worldwide in recital and chamber music and appears at major festivals such as Gilmore, Tanglewood, Ravinia, Marlboro, Prussia Cove, Verbier and Klavier Festival Rühr. Mr. Goldstein also maintains an active recording presence on the Naxos label, including his acclaimed continuing series of Mozart piano concerti with the Fine Arts Quartet. The most recent release features Nos. 18 & 22 (2025) and the recording of Nos. 9 & 17 was nominated for a 2022 Grammy Award. Additional recordings include works of Dvorak, Scarlatti, and Mendelssohn. A passionate advocate for music education, recent teaching posts have brought Alon to the Ravinia Festival Steans Institute and the Lieven Piano Foundation in Vienna, where he also serves as the Artistic Director, plus extended residency activities across the country. He is a founder of Florida's Emerald Coast Music Alliance, whose annual festival brings music to underserved communities free of charge. Alon also provides artistic direction for Oregon's Mt. Angel Abbey Bach Festival and The Distinguished Artists Series in Santa Cruz and recently served as Distinguished Visiting Piano Professor at the UMKC Conservatory (2018-2024). Alon Goldstein is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory where he studied with Leon Fleisher.
